The British Association of Dermatologists aim to raise awareness of skin cancer between 6th-12th May
Did you know that Sun Awareness Week is approaching?
The British Association of Dermatologists aim to raise awareness of skin cancer between 6th May and 12th May as part of their national campaign, and SunSense UK is proud to be supporting this for another year!
Skin cancer is estimated to cost the NHS £180 million by 2020 and so, providing education on prevention and protection is vital in helping to decrease the number of skin cancer cases in the UK.
We feel strongly about raising awareness about skin cancer and the dangers of harmful UV rays, and as part of our brand new Expert Care From The Sun Aware campaign, we will be working closely with health professionals to encourage people to wear sunscreen every single day to help reduce the chances of developing skin cancer.
Last year, SunSense gave out 500 sun awareness packs and several thousand samples to hospitals and clinics across the country as part of Sun Awareness Week, and this year we want to give out even more! Our packs include myth posters, product literature, product posters and stickers.
If you’d like to order a pack for your clinic, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send one out to you ASAP.
