Here we look at the biggest UK trends for winter holiday destinations.
School has well and truly kicked back in and those of you who are lucky enough to be able to go on holiday during term time will be looking for some winter sun.
1. The Canary Islands
A staple choice for any Brit looking to get some winter sun, the Canary Islands are probably the closest destination to fly to and will keep its heat with an average high of around 20 degrees Celsius.
2. Cape Verde
Slightly further south than the Canary Islands are a collection of islands off the coast Senegal called Cape Verde. This is becoming increasingly popular among water sports enthusiasts with lots of scuba diving, deep sea fishing and windsurfing excursion taking place.
Famous for its glamour and year-round sunshine Dubai is the destination on many Brits lips as they look to get some sun in the winter months.
Also known as “The Sunshine State”, Florida experience warmth in the 20’s year-round making it the perfect getaway before the Christmas season starts. It’s many attractions in Orlando make for a thrilling escape no matter how old you are.
Previously the destination of choice for globetrotting gap year students, Thailand is increasingly popular with people looking for a warmer climate during the miserable British winter. Its dry season runs from December to April and there are fewer more reliable destinations for a sunny escape than that of Phuket in Thailand.
