Sun Awareness Week 2018
Health care professionals (HCPs) continue to play an important role in educating the public on sun safety.
That’s why each year Crawford Healthcare, distributor of SunSense in the UK, continues to support HCPs during Sun Awareness Week by providing them with the tools to help them educate people about the dangers of sunburn and excessive exposure to the sun.
The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) is running Sun Awareness Week from the 14th May – 20th May 2018 and we’re giving away hundreds of SunSense support packs to help you communicate the importance of sun safety to your patients.
During the summer months, SunSense will be sending clinics these packs to encourage consumers to expose their skin to Less Ultra Violet Radiation (LUV), by showing their skin a little LUV with the UK’s Best LUVed Prescription Sunscreen.(1)
Wearing a high-factor sunscreen regularly helps protect against the sun’s potentially harmful UVA and UVB radiation, which can cause sunburn, pigmentation, premature ageing, wrinkles and skin cancers. (2)
The 2018 clinic support packs contain myth busting posters, educational posters highlighting how exposure to less ultra violet light can help reduce the risk of skin cancer, along with balloons and leaflets. These are for healthcare professionals to use to build sun awareness displays to help educate the public.
